The game lost my Annabelle, AR BB gun, and Gobi rifle. Stupid buggy Bethesda games...

Well, I thought I discovered a fun exploit with Eye for an Eye. When paired with the fast healing of Rad Child, I discovered crippled limbs have little to no effect. You might be crippled, but your HP will remain full which seems to reduce the effects of crippled limbs (except for concussion; that one is always annoying). Especially if you're in melee, much of the effects don't seem to make a difference (and who uses the special melee attacks anyway? The vast majority actually deal reduced damage save for one certain DLC weapon). So, stay crippled, let fast healing do the work, never sleep because there is no need, and now you have a constant passive 40% increase to damage.
Well...that doesn't seem to be the case. The damage decrease from crippled limbs seems to override Eye for an Eye no matter what. At least, I haven't noticed any damage bonus to my chainsaw's attacks, but I DID notice the damage penalty.

Funny story time. I got called back to defend Finch farm. Barely got off one shot before my heavily armed settlers and defences wrecked the gunners. Unfortunately you have to go and help defend a settlement no matter how much it doesn't actually need you. Otherwise the game records it as a loss, and damages crops and machines.

Glad I never bothered with that stuff. Sounds like a chore.

I kind of wish Fallout NPCs had some indication to show they have quests available. I know these games well enough by now to know quests can be buried in a conversation, but usually they're not and can be triggered fairly easily right from the get-go, or there is some skill check involved. That's generally true for New Vegas, but after completing many of the core NCR quests on my soldier dude, I was under the impression there weren't any more quests. There aren't actually that many core NCR quests...
...but there are actually a LOT of unmarked and secondary NCR quests, and quests in general (several hundreds, actually, compared to maybe a couple dozen core faction quests). Many of these quests are buried in long conversations or triggered in unexpected ways (for example, I never knew you had to find Cottonwood Cove before the NCR guy at Searchlight would give you any quests there). I'm surprised at how many trigger-only quests there are in general surrounding Searchlight.
Not that they're unintuitive or anything, obviously people aren't willing to just ask you to do shit until they know you a little better, but still...spent a fair bit of time running around bored thinking I had done everything worth doing. But to be fair, this is pretty standard for a completion run of a Fallout/ES style game.

Did I ever tell you there's an unmarked location east of Finch farm, and it contains the legendary 44 pistol the Gainer? No prizes for guessing which property it has!

That's Fallout 4, right? It's right where I left New Vegas: explored lots, didn't actually do anything. Might not get around to finishing that for another 10 years given how long it took me to get back to New Vegas.

Fallout 76 is one of the free PSN games this month. Wonder if I should bother.

I’ve heard it’s massively improved but I’m unwilling to support a product, that was unfinished, and needed this amount of work to fix. Sadly companies get away with pulling this crap. Well mostly.

Nah, not gonna bother. Reminded of how Bethesda was willing to attack people who reported their shady crap, so I'm not going to give them my time let alone my money.

On the off chance you still check in, there's evidence suggesting the next Fallout game will be a remake of the original game.
