PSYCHE: Crime investigation show about a highly observant guy skilled at cold readings pretending to be a psychic. Kind of dumb, and the main character is a bit of an alpha dick, but it's fairly upbeat and occasionally funny. It's the kind of show that would be heavily lambasted these days, but I find it enjoyable.
I've actually seen a few other shows that I got from a list of "top shows on Amazon Prime", but nothing gets praised these days unless it has an agenda and I'm getting a little disheartened by how many shows I've stopped watching because of it.

I watched that years ago. Very catchy theme tune.

Gave "The Boys" another chance. Merely confirmed my initial dislike of the show. The show does nothing more than reverse every popular superhero trope, cram in commentary on every social issue there is, and dial up the edge factor to 10 by making every character curse a lot. It's essentially just a mirror world. It's not remotely creative or clever and I have no idea why people think this show is good. Oh, and all men are evil and the women are just unfairly pushed into committing evil acts by men.
Good special effects, though, and an interesting take on using superheroes in the military. They can't because apparently that would encourage countries to toss nukes around like crazy since that's essentially what a superhero is.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: Yeah, my sister tried to get me to watch this years ago. Started watching it again because it seems like there isn't anything new to watch (except Next) and I needed something to fill that Supernatural void now that show is over. I still find it to be very corny, but it does improve a bit after the initial few episodes.
NEXT: Typical evil AI story, and with the usual woke shit, but one of the main characters is genuinely interesting because of his "I'm a dick and I know it, so suck me" attitude which somehow comes off as funny in many scenes, and the acting and overall delivery of the show, and the well paced twists, allows the show to hold my attention.
ANIMANIACS REBOOT: Although the animation in the first episodes is weirdly awful compared to how excellent it gets later, and some of the later episodes devolve into standard cartoon fare, I think it's safe to say the Animaniacs Reboot is easily the best new animated show this year: it's surprisingly creative, laugh-out-loud funny, and fiendishly clever. It's hands down, without a doubt, one of the best shows I've seen in years. Heck, the show has the best anime sequence I've seen all year and it's not even an anime.

Buffy is easily one of my favourite shows ever. Season 2 is a vast improvement over season 1, and personally my favourite of the run, with 5 and 7 yapping at it's heels. Animaniacs? I knew a reboot was coming, but didn't think it would be this soon.

I'm guessing Buffy is where you get your name from given the demon Acathala appears in it.

Yes. One more a than the official spelling though. It always amused me that both Drem and I were named after demons.

And that both of you ended up being my longest lasting online relationships...wait, does that mean you two were sucking my soul? And all this long gaming is a trick to corrupt me? *GASP!*

Ironically, I don't eat maple syrup. Too much sugar. I use all natural honey instead. Most honey is just flavoured corn syrup.

Thundercats roar was cancelled after one season. This was the second attempt to reboot the series, and whilst the first one was actually pretty good, the second attempt to reboot was shit. You just had to look at the artwork to know this was going to be shit. Of course the omnipresent woke wankery was present.
Who was this for? You weren't going to get new fans, as they wouldn't know the original Thundercats, and this insults the original fans. They could have quite easily called this something else. Yet another franchise has it's legacy shit on.

Finished off Buffy. Kinda burned out on it towards the end. Also, the ending is somewhat open. Did you know it got five more seasons in comic form? You probably do and have the comics.
Also finished off season 3 of Cobra Kai. Man, it ends on a REALLY stupid note.
Currently watching Star Wars Rebels. Not as exciting as Clone Wars, but not bad. Characters are pretty good without feeling too kiddy. Speaking of which, also finished off Tangled The Series. Mainly just because I wanted to see how it all ended. Only the first season was actually good. The others moved way too far into kiddy cartoon territory.

Yep, and the spinoff show Angel got it's own comic, as did the character Spike. They actually gave the licence to a different publisher about I think halfway through the run, which meant the original publisher had to rush to resolve their plotlines. It's a shame as it was genuinely mostly good. I don't blame you for series fatigue though. Seasons 4 and 6 were probably the worst and didn't help. It's sad we never got the Spike movie. I would have loved to have seen that. James Marsters is really too old to play Spike anymore sadly.

GRAVITY FALLS: It's okay. Kind of reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes. Not so much in terms of cleverness, but just the overall way the characters get into trouble and do NOT learn the right lesson.

Okay, say what you want about Disney, but their animated TV show department is top notch. Gravity Falls started out okay, but it ended up being very good in a "Star Vs. Evil" sort of way.
WANDAVISION: Fans will definitely not be amused by this show, but for someone who just finished watching the entire run of the Dick Van Dyke show, it was somewhat amusing. It's really not funny in and of itself. As for the actual attempt at telling some kind of story...it seems to be getting there, but hopefully they won't hop through every era of television to reach the point of it all; otherwise, this just feels like some lame filmmaker's attempt at wanting to create an old sitcom but being forced to do a Marvel property instead.

I've been watching the Beverly Hillbillies. We used to get that along with repeats of other sitcom in the 80s. Mainly Bilko, bewitched, the munsters, Addams family, and I dream of Jeannie. I think Samantha from bewitched was the first girl I ever wanted to kiss.

Denise Richards for me.
DUCKTALES REBOOT: This show has been very hit or miss so far. Some episodes have been interesting, depicting all of the characters in a more realistic light while alluding to their past adventures with a respectful fondness while simultaneous touching on new mysteries...and going on new adventures. And then there are the episodes where they go on new adventures...for the sake of going on new adventures. And then there are episodes with Donald Duck which make me cringe. It's these episodes where the show feels like a kid's show, but the other episodes are legitimately interesting and are well worth watching. Frankly, they remind me a lot of MY stories.
ANGEL: So...not my choice. I didn't think the show is worth $20 per season and was waiting for some other means to watch it, like for it to reappear on Netflix or Amazon or something. But then my mom is like "That's like one pizza!" and bought it herself. So, yeah...now I'm watching this. Definitely going for that investigative show with a twist, except in this case it's established lore and characters. Which is fine, but Angel was at his best when he was a villain, and now this is a whole lot of him not being a villain...oh, well. I have it now.

God damn, Duck Tales really kicks it up a notch in the second season. They actually remix the moon theme from the NES game for an episode, then add heartwarming lyrics to the song as a lullaby version. They also give Jiminy Cricket a run as a villain. A FRICKIN' VILLAIN! Jiminy!
*So apparently Duck Tales is being hailed by fans as a fan reboot done right. Not surprised. The show is loaded with lore references and in many ways feels like a natural follow-up to the old show. Hell, I didn't even like the old show, not even as a kid, or the NES game. Goes to show what can happen when you have talented people respecting the original lore.

Blarg. Third season of Duck Tales is awful. No running storyline with endearing characters. Just a bunch of random pop culture references and kick offs for spin offs. Was nice to see the Rescue Rangers again, though.

KID COSMIC: Netflix superhero show. Pretty typical commentary on the flaws of superhero adventures and war in general. Not bad, rather amusing actually in the creative way it handled the stereotypical origin story.
