Who in the Batman universe wears a golden mask?

The only one I can think of off-hand is Psycho Pirate, though I don't think he is specifically a Batman villain. I suppose it could also be the hero Doctor Fate but it's a helm in his case.

Gotham is back. They better have a very damn good reason for why the military absolutely refuses to help Gotham. That sort of thing would never fly in the modern world.

They didn't really have a good reason for it in the Batman story that inspired it. Basically President Lex Luthor ordered a forced evacuation as the city was too costly to save, after a series of earthquakes. Then he got Gotham thrown out of the USA. It's still a good story though.
Random trivia time. The guy who played Harvey Bullock in the animated series, had been a cop in real life.

When the season started, they also showed Gordon teamed up with all of the villains firing ON the military, so it must get pretty crazy.
Think it has something to do with Bane's gas. They just ran into a group of punks using something like it.

Netflix's take on the TITANS comic line just aired, although I think it originated on the DC service. Anyway, Dick Grayson is the lead for this show.
So far the show is trying a little too hard to be dark and edgy, but it's interesting enough.

Bruce has suddenly begun using his gadgets. He still looks weird beating up groups of men twice his size.
Dick on Titans is starting to talk about giving up the Robin identity thanks to Wonder Girl.

I can't say that's a surprise. He hasn't really been Robin in the comics for a long time.

Yeah, but I thought Robin was the leader of the Titans, so I didn't think he was Nightwing at that time.
The season finale of Titans touches on the "Batman goes berzerk" story.

Well, Magpie didn't last long. Leah has also finally returned to the show.

Magpie? Well obscure villain. Does Leah have powers?

See just came back, so not sure yet, but she shouldn't have powers.

I might have been excited about it even just a couple of seasons ago. However you know the writers will fuck it up.

Well, there's only a few episodes left in the entire series, so I think this one will stick.

Zach Snyder just released a profanity laced interview where he insults all Batman fans because his version was perfectly content with killing people.

You know, I was initially excited when I first heard he was involved with the DC movies. I liked his pragmatic adaptation of the Watchmen. He had a lot of goodwill as everyone wanted to see a Justice League movie, and squandered all that goodwill with a turgid movie. Lots of the blame for the poor start for the extended universe can be laid right at his door. It's notable that most of the films not under his direct influence have been been good. Wonder Woman was a very pleasant surprise. His rant screams of a man who can't accept he's the problem, so naturally he has to lash out against the fans. It's a shame because of him, DC is now trying to compete directly with Marvel. I think there is a market for darker more mature superhero movies when done well.

Well, Logan was certainly successful, so, yeah.
Honestly, I didn't even realize Batman was being horribly mischaracterized. I just figured that's where he was at in his career. To hear Snyder only made that decision because he thinks it's okay for heroes to kill people sinks the movie even further.

That was my initial thought as well. I kept thinking Alfred was going to call Bruce out on abandoning his code, and it never really happened. It was a wasted opportunity, but what is one wasted opportunity amongst many?

So the final two episodes of Gotham are going to be split into two parts: the first will wrap up the entire storyline. The next will jump ahead 10 years to give us a taste of full grown Batman.

ARRRGGGGHHHH! It's so FRICKIN' annoying to anticipate something SO highly only to see it turn out to be bloody awful. I anticipated that episode for SO long and then it FINALLY happens...and it's like they paid a surly kid to write the episode. Clearly whoever did it did not care one bit about what he/she was doing. God damn it! What a HORRIBLE waste of such potential.

An animated show I'm watching. For years people have been anticipating the meeting of characters from the core show and the spin-off. It finally happened, but the writing was so bottom tier it had all the emotional weight of a feather tied to a helium balloon.

Well, finally got around to seeing the Gotham series finale.
It is easily one of the worst TV episodes I've ever seen. In the history of TV. Ever.
And I'm not even talking about the writing. Cinematography, choreography, lighting, basic acting, directing....all of the technical stuff was bad. It's like they knew they only had a few days left to film the episode, and they didn't care anymore, so they just rushed it.
I suppose when it's all said and done that's a fitting way to end the series, but now I feel icky about wasting that time just to see how it would all play out after I had already decided the show wasn't worth watching anymore. It's like being served a turd, deciding it was a turd and that I shouldn't eat it, then choosing to eat it anyway, feeling so shitty at making that awful decision...only to discover it somehow tasted worse.

I always thought the finale would suck. The rot started in the second series when it became apparent there was no long term planning for the story they wanted to tell, or if there was, they abandoned it for the cheap thrills of having the villains arrive early. It's an extremely frustrating show, as for everything that was a good idea, and make you think they were back on track, 10 things would follow that would make me fire up Arkham city and pretend the goons I was beating up, were the showrunners. You could see Gotham as a microcosm of the wider DCEU. If something isn't an instant hit, they panic and change it. PS Salina get mind wiped, possibly by the Joker?

No, but she might as well have considering how radically her character changed in the last couple of episodes. She was probably the one consistent character throughout the series...and then suddenly she's all hugs and kisses and oh so upset that Bruce left Gotham without her.
But it wasn't just the writing. The technicals were bad too. An actor clearly standing just outside the shot to jump in after an explosion is plainly visible. A villain somehow appearing behind Bruce despite the fact he was looking directly at the villain on the run up. An actor drops a prop she is supposed to be holding for that shot and picks it up, but for some reason they used the shot. Same actor says a line wrong when she clearly slips by accident, and looks at her shoes to boot, but they still used the shot. A grenade that goes off at Penguin's foot does little more than scratch his face.

Watched the first couple of episodes of the new series of Gotham. Passable. Sad they killed off Tabitha. Barbara lacks het charisma, and continues to suck the life out of every scene she's in.

They've shown trailers for the new Batwoman show. It's essentially a pro-feminazi show.
