There was a batsuit with Zebra stripes. DC would prefer people forgot about that one.

Huh. They killed Ra's. And I mean killed-killed. They found some magic dagger that turned him to dust. That's weird. They had a good thing going with him and then just...poof! Dead.

Gotham just keeps hitting the self destruct button, eh?

I'm still scratching my head. Apparently Ra's WANTED to die...or some crap like that. I dunno. It just seems odd for a show about villains to kill off one of the greats.

Well looks like Gotham is returning. You must be a couple of series ahead by now.

Yeah, it's been back for a while, but I don't want to tell you what's happening because I'm pretty sure you'd get physically ill. And you've been ill enough methinks.

They gave Barbara superpowers.
But you REALLY don't want to know why.

So she could rape Gordon and have his kids would be my guess.

Well Gotham premiered on the new channel and they skipped a season. I know they did because the previously on bit mentioned stuff I know for a fact was not in the last series I watched. I don't know if the previous channel had maybe sneaked it out at a time slot I missed, but it was very strange.

You care? Thought you gave up on it a long time ago. Seriously, you don't want to see what's happening now.

Not really. I was curious.

Huh. Gotham finally made an interesting contribution to the Batman universe. They just explored the origin of Joker's laughing gas. In this case, Scarecrow is the actual creator of the gas, but he modifies it to create laughter instead of fear. For him it's just a minor change. Then Joker adds a toxic component and there you have it. I don't know if they've ever explored the origin of the gas in other forms of media but making Scarecrow responsible for creating the original formula is a perfectly reasonable explanation.
They've also introduced the Batmobile. In this case, Alfred orders a bullet-proof car for Bruce to protect him after his recent adventures. I think it's a black Chevrolet Charger which is a car known for having a long front-end and that classic Batmobile-like look. When the car is driven to a crime scene, Fox sees the car and just so happens to mention that he used to "work on cars like that when I was still in R&D".

A few bits of news today:
-Gotham has been renewed for one more season, but this will be the last.
-A prequel exploring Alfred's life in the 60's has been announced. Apparently it will not take place within the Gotham continuity (which saps my interest; it's more interesting when these stories line up. Than again, Gotham wasn't that great...).
-Arrow will finally go to Gotham where he will crossover with the Batverse, specifically Batwoman. Although the DC shows have really flatlined since The CW took over development duties, I still expect Arrow to do Batman rather well.

I can't say I am surprised about Gotham. Every flash of brilliance it had, was undone by many poor decisions. Like the continuing and baffling presence of Barbara. I admit I caved and started watching again since there isn't anything else on. I liked the casting of Alexander Siddiq as Ra's. Absolutely bang on casting. Never thought we would see Professor Pyg in live action. On the fence with him. On the whole the writing has been fairly mediocre. Sometimes felt like fan fiction.

You're still on Pyg? Wow. Sounds like you're way behind where I am.
And you aren't kidding about the fan fiction. Where we are now Leah and The Riddler are an item.

That is literally the stupidest thing the show has done then. I'm amending fan fiction, to fan fiction written by teenage virgins who can't spell.

No. No, it's not. Like I said, I've been holding back on telling you everything because I don't want you to lose all faith in humanity. They did reveal Man Bat though, and some little kid who is a serial murderer which I'm guessing is Birthday Boy. They've also confirmed the Green Arrow is going to Gotham, but probably not part of this show's continuity by the sound of things.

A pretty unremarkle Batman villain. Bane's biological father. Where did he show up on your radar?

He'll probably be killed mid season to be replaced by Bane. Given the stupid way they killed off Ra's, I am not holding out much hope.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the writers put a connection between him and Alfred. There isn't in the comics, but they are both former army men.

Move over Gotham! In this year's crossover event, the Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl go to Gotham City and so far, so good. They have appropriately recreated the city with a modern slant, but all of the architecture has this weird, aged look, and Arkham Asylum is WAY creepier than it appears on Gotham. I think they made Batgirl's costume way to flashy, though.

Why does Lois Lane wield a big ass hammer?
Oh, and apparently the Superman universe is where the "true" Batman continuity lies. The one in Arrow seems to be different.
