For all other things Disney not covered by Marvel and Star Wars.
Looking at other productions done by Weisman, who created Gargoyles, I've discovered he had a significant hand in creating Kim Possible and Young Justice. I knew about Young Justice, but not Kim Possible which is shockingly considered to be one of the best animated series of all time winning 8 Emmys and generating the largest audience of viewers ever for a Disney show until it was surpassed by Phineas and Herb some years later.

I saw Kim Possible. Enjoyed it mostly.

Thankfully, it's on YouTube so I can see a few episodes and decide whether or not it's worth my time. The little I saw did seem a little heavy on the goofy, cartoony side.

Saw Kim Possible. Not seeing what was so great about it. Found it to be a fairly typical kid's show. Does it get a lot better later or something?

I think it got better in later seasons. It has been a while since I watched it though.

Disney buy-out of Fox confirmed and going through. Can't believe Fox was willing to give up the Simpsons. That's gonna be so weird...

I stopped caring about the Simpsons a long time ago to be perfectly honest.

Probably nay. I've never played any of them.

Disney is planning quite a few superhero shows for their streaming service.

Got Kingdom Hearts 3. Been a very long time since I've played any of these games.

Not too happy with KH3. Game feels unsophisticated. I know it's supposed to be kiddy, and I can accept that, but it's outdated in other ways.

More reboots incoming. Darkwing Duck is getting rebooted.

I really hope they don't fuck that up like they did Star Wars. Ideally it would be left alone but that's not going to happen. I suppose we should be grateful it isn't a live action remake.

Apparently they did a good job with Duck Tales. His little cameo in that show was not half bad.
Oddly, this bit of news has gotten the creative juices flowing and inspired to do some fan fiction. Not sure why. I didn't care for the show that much.

So it turns out Darkwing has actually had several major appearances in Ducktales, including rebooting his entire origin story, so any new show going forward would be based on the rebooted format. I thought it would be much better based on the first cameo, but it turns out they use the original voice actor to play the original Darkwing Duck, but a NEW actor is also called in to play him and the two fight it out while filming a movie. The original loses and becomes Nega Duck which is really weird hearing the original voice actor voicing a villain.

So the writers of Deadpool have been fired and replaced by writers of Bob's burgers, because diversity. Sigh, remember when jobs were about talent and best person for the job?

You know, Deadpool wasn't THAT funny and I didn't like Ryan Reynolds THAT much...
...but they did a good job of doing Deadpool right, so...yeah, can't say I have any faith in this decision.

Pixar continues to be the one shining light in the shit storm that is new millennium Disney. Their new movie, Soul, is creative, fascinating, charming, and heartwarming. It's a very good movie overall. Not very funny, though, so it's not the kind of movie I'd rewatch, but still very good.

It's nice to see one part of the company that doesn't hate it's customers.

I'm thinking much of Raya and the Last Dragon's high metacritic scores is entirely because of woke casting (pretty much the entire cast is Chinese). The movie itself is pretty "meh", like most modern Disney movies that aren't made by Pixar these days. Terrific art, though. Some of the environments are downright photo realistic, although the dragons look like they could fit perfectly into the MLP universe for some crazy reason.
