Things might actually be looking up for star wars. Investors are very unhappy with Kennedy and a couple asked about whether they were going to fire her. Disney CEO, gave the usual shite about how he's happy she's working there. Of course he couldn't say she was going to be fired for many reasons. It's more important what he didn't say. Like he didn't say her contract was renewed. I'm going to be cautiously hopeful as frankly I don't trust Disney at all.

Looks like a KotoR remake is coming, and it's being developed by a studio NOT affiliated with EA. Looks like Disney won't be renewing the exclusivity license with EA and have established their own gaming division to handle games using the Star Wars license. Of course, this isn't entirely good news since one of the new games is coming from Ubisoft.

Did you know C3P0 has a silver leg throughout the whole trilogy? And that nobody ever notices, not even a lot of the production crew did, because it reflects the gold of the other leg so well?

I'm surprised you missed this colossal news: David Filoni has been promoted to executive creative director of Lucasfilm. His responsibilities are described as "Filoni’s title as executive creative director captures the complicated role of overseeing both individual series and a larger storyline that weaves together several shows. Given Filoni’s galaxy-sized “Star Wars” expertise, he’s also been known to weigh in on other “Star Wars” projects outside of his direct purview."
In other words, he oversees all things Star Wars in the TV space, and has significant pull in other spaces.

General news is fine. It was the constant reminders of how much you dislike Kennedy that was pushing it.

I imagine you already know this, but there are a lot of leaks suggesting Filoni is "rebooting" much of the Star Wars universe by replacing much of the new trilogy with his canon established in shows like Clone Wars and such. The Mandalorian will continue to be jumping off point for much of this, and for the most part, they're generally looking to use Favreau and Filoni's storylines to chart a course to a "new" third trilogy.

Pretty much, yes. They actually seem to know what they're doing, unlike the people responsible for the Disney trilogy. The only real black spot seems to be the acolyte, Kennedy's last bit of sabotage. Showrunner used to work for Harvey Weinstein, which should tell you a lot about her.

Sadly, it turns out the lead writer for the KotoR remake is a turbo feminist.

I don't understand why it needed a writer in the first place. Whilst I haven't finished the original game yet, it's been quality. All it needed was a graphical update and it was good to go. I swear western entertainment is mostly utter crap. You know what I was watching the other day? One of the old He-man cartoons. They're on YouTube and it looks like an official channel.

There's a fan remake of KotoR in the works that looks rather promising.

So, while the writer is a bit of a turn off, there are a lot of other great things to know about the new KotoR remake. Notably it's being made by Aspyr, the team that worked on the original game and most of its port and maintenance duties for PC, and consists of some original Bioware devs. That said, they seem to be going for an ARPG feel this time around.

Unsurprisingly, the Kennedy led Kenobi show is the weakest of the new Disney Star Wars shows.

Because she's actively trying to sabotage the franchise. I had zero hope for that show. I think Ahsoka will determine for me if there's any hope left. I am very unwilling to part with money for Disney products, given how they seem to hate their customers. So it would have to be something very special to pull money out my wallet.

Looks like Kennedy, and her supposed successor, have been fired, although there is more evidence to suggest Kennedy had planned her departure ahead of time, and she's being aggressively pushed towards said planned departure sooner rather than later. The more likely firing is her successor and every project attached to her. There is also word of men clearing out Lucasfilms' offices for some reason. Some suspect a buyout but I highly doubt Disney would sell Star Wars.
