Post all news that affect this board here. Player absences and game cancelations are examples of such.
A few rules while posting here:
-This board is for RP and RP-related discussion only.. -Do not post in a game thread unless you're a player. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you have a suggestion, PM the GM or the players. -All GM's have mod. powers in this board because they help a lot while running games. GM's who abuse these powers will lose them.

I hate to be running off so shortly after starting the boards, but I'll be away this weekend visiting relatives (not by choice).

So I got a visit from Geek Squad today. Among other things, they discovered my little problem with saving desktop images. Long story short, I needed a new keyboard, so I got one. Lo and behold, I can now save desktop images. What does this mean for us? It means this: Holy dungeon maps, Batman! It's an Aurora generated dungeon! Oh, yes. Our dungeon maps are about to become MUCH more interesting. I can't use it for regional maps, and floorplans will still require paint, but it will be great for normal rooms.

I've discovered a D20 Modern hack that can be plugged into NWN to allow for Modern games. While the overall function of the Modern rules in NWN strikes me as awkward, it's still a very helpful addition, especially since I'm just using the tiles, clothes, and character models to spice up our maps. This hack also includes some D20 Future content.
Don't know how useful this would be for mecha, space, and superhero games, but it would sure be cool if this works. Imagine, Mecha games where you can actually see the whole map instead of dumb Paint symbols!!

I put up a link to this board at the other board I play in to invite more people over here. The guy that runs the boards invited us over there if we get tired of proboards. We'd have our own boards to play with the option to invite others in that network of messageboards. Just passing the message along. www.rpguplink.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=141

Also, a gm on that forum wants to run a superheroes games using your superheroes rules, TG. He was going to use the Champions system, but didnt like how it turned out.

Fine by me. They seem to prefer D20 over there, so I imagine my D20 superhero system should fit in nicely. The nicest thing about the superhero rules is you can completely forget about the prestige classes, superhero feats, item creation, focuses, and all of that and still have a perfectly good superhero creation system. Powers alone will do.
As for the invitation...well, they have fewer people than we do, but have much higher post counts. Still not sure who will stick around BB and who won't yet.

I think there's a lot more people there than you can see. The top part (the RPGuplink area) is viewable to all while anything underneath can be either public or private. The top part is shared throughout a bunch of game RP boards so if a post is put there all the other boards can see it. At least thats how it used to work. I'd have to ask. Not trying to uproot us or anything, just passing the message along.

From what I remember from a year ago or so, the top part of the forums had a bunch of members from different gaming boards posting about games and stuff. If you wanted a board for yourself for a game you were given your own board that populated the bottom half for you and your members. I think that was before he reset everything. Anyone that wanted to stay stayed. Id have to ask about that, though. I cant seem to get to the other boards that should be there.

I originally wasn't too sure what to think of this. I don't really consider myself a master-monster-maker, but more of an encounter-maker. I like finding ways to turn encounters with mundane monsters into challenging fights.
But then I remembered one of my old designs, way back when I was just starting to get into D&D. It's a little funny, and very unorthodox, but what the hell, eh? It should be worth a laugh if not the grand prize.

The judges are still judging. Which reminds me, I need to email them and see where they are in the judging process.

Nobody was posting in those boards anymore. Hell, if it weren't for the RP forum, nobody would be posting at all.
