(Summon Undead is in a few books, mostly Libris Mortis and the Spell Compendium. Possibly Heroes of Horror and the BoVD.)
Getting rather angry, Blaine holds up his scarred hand, a design on the back doubling that of his Holy Symbol, casts Shield of Faith on himself, and dashes up the hallway after the escaping guard.

(Ah, there it is: Heroes of Horror. I thought an undead wolf didn't sound right for a Lv.1 spell. Summon Undead has a very specific list that doesn't include a wolf. You should write it down)
*I'm actually against undead summoning because you don't summon undead, you animate them. It's like making STR the melee score: by separating necromantic animation from outsider/animal conjuration, you make the two distinctly different and unique entities, thus establishing the lore and charm of the two. Of course, the game has already started so I can't enforce this house-rule. Just saying.

Grunting in irritation the little guy dashes after the rest cursing tall, rushy people under his breath. If he has sight of the guard when he rounds the corner he lets loose a hasty web to snare the guard's mind.
If it holds Kade barks out, "Don't hurt him!".

[glow=blue,6,300]UPDATE[/glow] ***************
EXP: Marvin +100
* * * * *
Looks like these people are willing to listen to me. That's good. Our chances of getting out of here are looking better and better.
But I shouldn't get too confident just yet. We're still unarmed and ill prepared for the challenges we'll likely face.
The centaur picks up that sword-good for her-while the other guys come up behind me and look down the hall. I guess they are expecting to find the guard waiting for them or something, but no, he's off and turning a corner before they can do whatever it is they planned to do. The shorter of the two men, a guy covered with self-inflicted wounds, casts some kind of spell that sees shadows begin to bend around him. They form into something that looks like a shield before disappearing. I guess it's a protective spell of some sort. I don't know. I'm used to the more subtler stuff.
Well, the walking practice shield has just gone off down the corridor by himself. The idiot must think of himself a hero, or he's just impatient. Either way, good riddence if he dies. Maybe he'll distract the guards long enough for the rest of us to get out of here.
Unfortunately, there's no where else to go, so the rest of us have to follow. Well, maybe he'll give us a chance to get a hit in while the guards are busy with him. Alas, when we get to the room at the end of the corridor, the intersection connecting all three dungeon corridors, there are no guards waiting for us, and the moron is safe and sound. At least there are torches.
With no other choice, we are forced to follow the crazy fool as he runs up more stairs to the corridor beyond. If I remember correctly, this corridor should take us into the keep. It also brings us dangerously close to the guard quarters. Oh, well. Nobody said this would be easy.
The corridor takes a sharp turn to the right some 30 ft. down. There is a heavy wooden door on the right wall, only 10 ft. away, and just at the apex of the bend is a portal with light streaming through it. It must lead outside.
Before we can advance further, the guard we are chasing appears, this time with two more buddies. And they have crossbows. They are huddled closely together at the bend in the hall, but we're not much better off.
I shield myself by ducking behind the centaur. Oh, god...I thought normal women can smell bad...
* * * * *
Some 30 ft. away at the end of the narrow corridor awaits 3 guards armed with crossbows.

[glow=red,6,300]UPDATE[/glow] **************
*New rule: Remember, ALWAYS post actions for at least 2 rounds of combat.
Crazy guy is the only one to do something. He casts another spell of some sort, then falls back. Suddenly, bones smash through the wall and form into a skeleton of some sort, and it is wielding a hammer. It immediately turns on the guards at the end of the hall just as they fire their bolts at us. Crazy guy gets hit, but it's just a small cut. As for the skeleton, it gets the jump on the bastard we've been chasing and whacks him pretty hard in the chest (-5 HP).
As the guy stumbles back, his worthless comrades immediately step back beyond the bend in the corridor we can't see. I can hear them winding the winches of their crossbows while the downed guard struggles to get past the skeleton. He takes a half-hearted swing at the skeleton with the crossbow and misses, then tries to scramble past it.
This is as good as time as any advance, so we do. Crazy guy continues without hestitation, and the centaur gets up there too. I decide to check the door we pass and discover a room full of unused equipment. I quickly spot my flute and my clothes in a corner, and there is a discarded crossbow, shield, and chain shirt too. I should be able to use that.
"Hey," I yell, "I think I found where they are keeping our gear! Come and get it!"
I sure hope that skeleton can keep those guards distracted while we arm up.

"Now we're talking," Marvin says snidely as he readies his longsword.

She'll ready her longsword and run out slashy slashy the guards, while holding up her shield in case they try and use their crossbows.

(Sin, are you even reading my PM's? Blaine has an unspent ability score point) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [glow=red,6,300]UPDATE[/glow] ************** Crazy guy doesn't seem so crazy now that he has his weapons. He foregoes his armor and runs right back out there with a whip to aid his undead ally. The skeleton eventually crumbles, you can hear its bones clatter to the floor, while crazy guy runs beyond the bend in the corridor and flips his whip at the guards. There is a snap, and something else clatters to the ground (a crossbow). Sounded like wood. The centaur charges into the hall as well while the halfling and other guy continue to search the room for gear. I go out and watch the battle and keep my shield up in case something unexpected happens. By the time the centaur arrives on the scene, crazy guy snaps his whip again, but this time the only sound I hear is the clank of a crossbow doing its thing, and crazy guy takes a bolt directly to the gut (-8 HP). I'd laugh, but that whip has good reach. The centaur suddenly charges in, and there is a gurgling sound. Looks like the bastard got a sword in the throat. EXP: Blaine Hero +150, Wynd +100 We continue down the hall. I stop for a minute to take a peek out the portal that leads outside, but discover it leads to a battlement overlooking a deep ravine. I quickly look down the wall to see what would await us and discover a steep hill covered in spikes. Yikes. We aren't getting out this way, not safely anyway. When the other guys ask, I just tell them to forget it and continue on. We pass through more long hallways and stinking corridors, ever vigilant for that one door that leads to freedom. We can hear the footsteps and shouts of the guards searching for us, but I been leading these guys on a route that should avoid most of the guards. Unfortunately, we will have to pass through the mess hall. Minutes after I have that thought, we find ourselves in the mess hall. At least, at the foot of the mess hall: a short step leads to an open door, and that's the mess hall. We can see a few guards pacing around the room, one of which is wearing a robe. "Damn," I whisper, "a wizard, and I'll bet the other two are the battlemages. And then there are two more guards with crossbows. How are we going to pull this one off?" One of them begins talking. "Why are we waiting here again?" a guard with a crossbow asks. "Because they would have to pass through here to escape the dungeon, you idiot. Don't you ever pay attention?" the wizard rudely replies. MAP: (The columns are annoying, but I've marked what you can't see. The party is standing in the yellow box just beyond a door. Sorry for the blur. I'll get a better image next time) *Btw, you may give me actions for any preparations you wanted to make while running through the halls. Oh, and I'll have Blaine grab his armor. Blaine will pop a Cure Light Wounds on himself, and head into the room only after someone else has. He's not going first this time. Centaur chick seems a lot tougher than he is. If/when he does get in, he'll first Disarm the crossbow guards, then he'll focus on tripping the caster up, using readied actions to Trip when the Wizard tries to cast something. If it gets hairy, he'll pop in another skelly as a distraction.

[glow=red,6,300]UPDATE[/glow] ***************
We get the jump on them.
Crazy guy, now sporting this creepy bag over his head, decides to get rid of that bolt in his belly with a spell. The whole wound closes up (+8 HP).
The centuar suddenly rears, then charges into the room and goes to one of the battlemages who had just passed the door. The guy only has time to gasp before the centuar's sword exposes his chest cavity (-15 HP). That's one.
The other guy with the sword, that one with a slightly devilish appearance, steps up to the doorway and flings a ball of acid at the other battlemage standing next to the pillar (-2 HP). I join him by the doorway, but I focus on the wizard in the back. I use my crossbow, and in a blink of the eye, the wizard gets a bolt in his chest. Down he goes.
The halfling seems to be pondering the situation.
The guards finally jump into action. Two of them prep their crossbows and fire bolts at the centaur, whose crystalline armor deflects all, while the battlemage gets behind a table and casts a spell. All of a sudden, sharp shards of rock rain around us. The centaur and I manage to cut down on the pain a bit by diving out of the way, but devilish guy doesn't (-2 HP, -1 on save).
NEXT ROUND:
The centaur now uses the body of the battlemage as a shield before charging the next guard standing directly in front of her. Another one bites the dust (-10 HP). Weirdo and devil charge in, and weirdo uses his whip to disarm the remaining guard.
Crap. I miss with my crossbow.
The halfling seems to be content to let us do all the work.
The last guard and battlemage mage smartly decide to give up the fight. The guard simply runs towards another door, while the battlemage fires off a blue ball of light that bashes into creepy-crazy guy (-2 HP) before running off.
NEXT ROUND:
The centaur is able to run down the battlemage, and she splits him in two (-28 HP, Crit.). We have lost sight of the last guard.
EXP: +400, Wynd +600 Hero bonus, Kade +0
There is a spluttering noise. The one guard with a crossbow who was struck down by the centaur is still alive. I run over to him and shake him, then punch him in the face.
"Hey! What's the best way out of this place? Speak!" I shout.
The guard stares at me for a moment, then laughs. "The gods curse you, criminal. You will die in here."
Annoyed, I kick the guard and turn to my new comrades. "We don't have time for this. Somebody make him talk."

(Guess now would be a good time for physical descriptions! Blaine stands at around 5'10, and looks to be around 150 pounds. Very lean. Aside from that, all you can tell about him is from what he wears. He's covered from head to toe in skin-tight and roughly-stitched brown studded leather leather armor, spattered, smeared, and splashed with what looks like dried blood. The studs in it are meticulously clean, however, and shine like steel, since that is what they are. His face is covered with a leather mask that blends seamlessly with the rest of his armour, only broken by small eye holes, nose holes, ear holes, a thin slit for his mouth, and three rows of studs that stretch from front to back, starting at the bridge of the nose, and the far corners of each eye. In his hand he carries a huge whip, easily 15ft. long fully extended, much thicker than normal, and tipped with a cruel-looking sharpened piece of metal.
Ok, now onto the game!)
Blaine carefully rolls up his whip and stashes it at his side while sauntering over to the downed guard. "Hehehe, let me take care of this," he says with obvious pleasure in voice. He kneels at the guard's side, pulls a rolled leather case from his pack, and unrolls it on the floor next to him. It's full of what almost seem like surgical implements, though there are a few that are obviously a lot less beneficial. He pulls out a pair of thumbscrews, and carefully selects a scalpel before 'working' on making the guard a little more friendly. "Key Kade, want a bite to eat?" (Torture, intimidate checks, etc. If the guard passes out, pop a CLW on him, and keep going. Sense Motive to see if he's lying. Each lie or question refusal gets the thumbscrew applied to full extent to a new appendage.)

Not sure what to make of this makeshift group, Kade hangs back and watches the action. Observing them in motion lends a little insight into their workings and emboldens Kade as the last guard is brought down.
Watching Blaine unroll his tool brings sudden, uncontrollable watering of the mouth. Blonde, curly hair sticking out in dissaray, Kade hums and dances forward, as if at a ball and not in prison. Still humming, he kneels at the guard's head and strokes his cheek with one grubby finger.
Gently, almost erotically, he lets energy course into the human, messing with it's thought patterns.

"Relax..."hisses Kade, "tell me. What are you most afraid of, human?"

[glow=blue,6,300]UPDATE[/glow] *************** Marvin searches the fallen bodies for anything of interest. They don't carry much beyond what they need to keep the prisoners in check, but he does find a scroll describing how to cast a Burning Hands spell on one of the battlemages, and the crossbow the other guard dropped could be useful. The wizard has a silver dagger. * * * * * The guard is a major coward. All the creepy guy has to do is produce a leather roll, unroll it, and reveal a myriad of torture utensils-I wonder who he is and what he does for a living-to make the guard squirm and squeek. Creepy-crazy guy seems disappointed his task was successfully completed so quickly. The same goes for the halfling. The other guy with the sword begins hacking up bodies-what a weirdo-while the guard speaks. "Okay! Okay! There is a secret passageway out of the prison in the cellar under the kitchen. The cook knows where it is. Follow that, and you're out of here." I frown at the guard. "You better not be lying, or else we'll come back here and kill you." "I swear it! I used it once just to see where it goes." I nod, then gather the rest of the guys together in a circle near the door to the corridor beyond. "Kill him," I suggest, "If this is a trick, he won't be alive to tell the other guards where we are." The other guy with the sword seems more than happy to oblige. *How does Marvin execute the guard? We continue on through the prison until the smell of rot and filth is replaced by simmering meat. The kitchen must be nearby. A few more doors and winding corridors later, and we're in the kitchen. It's a single square room with a table covered in uncooked goods and a stone oven in the corner, but there is no sign of the cook. We press on, and it isn't long before we find a short set of stairs down to the cellar. We throw the door open and find the cook. It's a cellar all right. Bags of grain and other dried goods line the perimeter of the cellar, and a barrel of wine sits right by the door. Butchered cows and goats hang by hooks from the ceiling, and the smell of spices fill the air. In the back of the room is the cook, the incredibly tall, porky man we saw earlier with the woman on his shoulder. He has two sacks under each arm, and he seems to be examining more sacks on the ground in front of him. "Hey, cook," I yell, "tell us where the secret passageway is or we'll turn you into tonight's main course." My jaw drops and my eyes widens when the cook spins around. He has 4 arms! He didn't have 4 earlier. What the hell is going on? The cook begins to giggle. "Oh, looky-looky! Tasty meats. Mmm...horse ribs, meat stew, and halfling skewers....it makes my stomach growl just thinking about it." "The hell is this?" I mutter. "Our brother can be a nuisance," a voice suddenly interrupts. "He has been taken by one of you?" I ask the voices. The cook drops the sacks and begins pulling knives from his belt. "It's time to butcher some fresh meat! No more dungeon for you, just full bellies for the rest of us." CHALLENGE BATTLE-Init: COOK: ?? Wynd: ?? Marvin: ?? Blaine: ?? Kade: ?? NPC: ?? Marvin grabs the dagger, crossbow, and scroll. If he sees a bolt case, he'll take that as well.
He saunters over to the, guard, a grin on his face. He places the tip of his sword against the guard's gut.
"Tell me, do you have a wife, daughter? Little sister?"
Before the guard can answer, Marvin drives the sword into his gut, putting all his weight on it before slicing it hard to left. He comes all the way around and slices cleanly through the guard's neck, sending blood flying everywhere.
"They'll be getting to know me, soon enough," he says with a laugh.
*****************
Marvin fires off a quick blast of acid (if he's not engaged in Melee and has a clear shot) then moves to flank and attack the cook.
